The Great Flood 1879

On the 12th of March 1879 Hungary had lost its second largest city. The early spring flood had
almost completely perished Szeged, only 265 buildings has survived. Couple of days later the whole
world started to offer help for the rebuilding. In four years the city has reborn to a beautiful
settlement full with gorgeous palaces,
boulevards, parks and squares. Let’s explore this this tragic-fantastic story during this walking tour!
